Recommended use or purpose:

Used in traditional Herbal Medicine as an alterative to help relieve skin conditions such as mild acne, eczema and psoriasis.

Cautions and Warnings 

Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are taking other medications or if you have a medical condition. Laxative effect may occur. Discontinue use if you experience abdominal pain, cramps, spasms and/or diarrhoea. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are taking thiazide diuretics, corticosteroids, licorice root or other medications or health products which may aggravate electrolyte imbalance. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you have a kidney disorder or are taking cardiac medications such as cardiac glycosides or antiarrhythmic medications. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you have faecal impaction or symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting or fever. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you have an autoimmune disorder, a progressive systemic disease such as tuberculosis, leucosis, collagenosis, multiple sclerosis, AIDS and/or HIV infection, or if you are taking immunosuppressants. If symptoms worsen or persist consult a health care practitioner. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are taking other medications of if you have a medical condition.

Contra-Indications 

Do not take this product if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not use if you have abdominal pain, nausea, fever, vomiting, haemorrhoids or if you have a chronic gastrointestinal disorder. Do not use if you have abnormal constrictions of the gastrointestinal tract, potential or existing intestinal blockage, atonic bowel, appendicitis, inflammatory colon disease such as Crohn`s disease or ulcerative colitis, abdominal pain of unknown origin, undiagnosed rectal bleeding, severe dehydration with depleted water or electrolytes or diarrhoea. Do not use if you are taking Digoxin.

Hypersensitivity/allergy is known to occur; in which case, discontinue use.
