Recommended use or purpose:

Uva ursi and juniper are traditionally used in Herbal Medicine as diuretics. Uva ursi traditionally used in Herbal Medicine as a mild diuretic to helprelieve symptoms associated with minor urinary tract infections, such as burning sensation and/or frequent urination. Ginger is traditionally used in Herbal Medicine to help relieve digestive upset/disturbances including lack of appetite, nausea, digestive spasms, indigestion,dyspepsia and flatulent colic (carminative) and as an expectorant and anti-tussive to help relieve bronchitis as well as coughs and colds.

Cautions and Warnings 

Consult a healthcare practitioner prior to use if you suffer from any serious illness or disease. Consult a healthcare practitioner prior to use if you are taking prescription medications. Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you have diabetes. Consult a health care practitioner/health care provider/health care professional/doctor/physician prior to use if you have a liver disorder, fever, painful urination (dysuria), spasms, or blood in urine. Products providing 60 milligrams or more of dried leaves and/or products providing 20 milligrams or more of Arbutin, per day.

Contra-Indications 

Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not use in the presence of abdominal pain, nausea, fever or vomiting. Do not use if you have liver or gall bladder disorders, and/or bowel obstruction. Discontinue use if you develop symptoms of liver trouble. Do not use if you are allergic to plants of the Asteraceae/Compositae/Daisy family. Do not use if you have a kidney disorder. If you have heart disease, high or low blood pressure, kidney or liver disorder, diabetes or edema (swelling of hands, face and feet) or are taking products containing diuretics, do not use. Stop use and seek medical attention immediately if you experience dizziness, confusion, muscle weakness or pain, abnormal heart beat and/or difficulty breathing.

Known Adverse Reactions 

May cause gastrointestinal discomfort and nausea. Hypersensitivity/allergy is known to occur, in which case, discontinue use.
