As with any natural health product, you should consult a healthcare practitioner on the use of this product especially if you are taking any medication including prescription medication such as antiplatelet medication, blood thinners, or have a medical condition including gallstones, excess stomach acid, stomach ulcer, iron deficiency, cystinuria, diabetes, cancer, a history of non-melanoma skin cancer or if you are following a low protein diet. Do not use if you are taking antibiotic or nitroglycerin. Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen. As the product contains natural diuretics please consult a healthcare practitioner prior to use if you have a heart disease, high or low blood pressure, kidney disorder or edema (swelling of hands, face and feet) or are taking products containing diuretics. Do not use if seal is broken. Keep out of reach of children. Stop use and seek medical attention immediately if you experience dizziness, confusion, muscle weakness or pain, abnormal heart beat and/or difficulty breathing. Consult a healthcare practitioner prior to use if you have kidney stones. Discontinue use and consult a healthcare practitioner if you experience sweating, paleness, chills, headache, dizziness or confusion - these may be symptoms of serious low blood sugar. If you have a liver disorder, consult a health care practitioner prior to use. Stop use if you develop symptoms of liver trouble such as yellowing of the skin/eyes (jaundice), stomach pain, dark urine, sweating, nausea, unusual tiredness and/or loss of appetite and consult a health care practitioner.

Contra-Indications 

Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not use if you are allergic to plants of the Asteraceae/Compositae/Daisy family or if you have liver or gall bladder disorders, bowel obstruction and/or a bile duct obstruction. Discontinue use if you develop symptoms of liver trouble (such as abdominal pain, dark urine or jaundice).

Known Adverse Reactions 

Hypersensitivity, such as an allergy, has been known to occur, in which case, discontinue use. People sensitive to nicotinic acid may experience flushing of the skin that is generally mild and transient. Rare, unpredictable cases of liver injury associated with green tea extract-containing products have been reported (in Canada and internationally).
